Ūkio bankas Continued Strengthening Partnership with Business Enterprises in 2011

Ūkio bankas lent LTL 247 million to businesses within 11 months of the last year and the number of transactions increased by 16 per cent comparing to the same period of 2010. The biggest number of loans was granted to the enterprises of Kaunas and Vilnius cities and regions, still there were many projects of Panevežys and Klaipėda enterprises financed as well.
“Last year the economic situation was improving, the companies started to recover after hard times. Nevertheless the business of the country definitely cannot take its breath right now, it is necessary to pay attention to the challenges that may occur due to the euro zone debt problems. Consequently, business development has to be rational and well calculated. Ūkio bankas offers financial solutions to its clients that would be optimal in the situation of a certain company and enable business development with the help of proper financial instruments”, - emphasized Mindaugas Pašvenskas, Head of Ūkio bankas Credit Service Unit.
According to M. Pašvenskas, it is especially important for some of the enterprises to get funds for the support of operational stability. In this case, working capital financing services, such as overdraft, factoring, credit line and others provided by Ūkio bankas can be relevant to the business. State support to the business may be applied to some of the instruments as well.
“If a business has a reasonable and well calculated business plan it is really worth thinking about business establishment or development of the existing company. It is possible to make use of various presently offered preferred means, business support. It is especially relevant to the small and medium business that is flexible, dynamic and may faster adapt to the changes”, - admits M. Pašvenskas.
82 per cent of all business loans portfolio of January – November 2011 fell on small and medium enterprises (SME). In comparison to the same period of 2010, portfolio of SME increased by 5 per cent.
Ūkio bankas started cooperation and provision of services to many companies of the country including such as UAB Iceco, UAB Mažeikių autobusų parkas, UAB Panevėžio autobusų parkas, UAB Tez Tour, UAB Vaiskoja, credits were granted to the municipalities of various cities as well.
